As much as I love this blog and enjoy participating in a larger conversation on social media, lately I’ve been feeling a little burnt out on it all. I feel the need to constantly keep up and check in which prevents me from enjoying the now. Combined with my crazy schedule with school and work, my life has felt like it’s moving 1000 miles an hour. One thing I have been majorly lacking is gym time. If you’ve read this blog for any time at all you know that this is an on going struggle of mine and I’ve mentioned a million times that I want to incorporate more exercise into my routine.

So for a few days over the last week, I’ve started my day with a class. Over the weekend it was spinning. Today it was yoga. I’m not going to lie it was a little bit of a struggle this morning to get ready to head to the gym in the dark and pouring rain. BUTTTTT I am so happy I did. Not only was my body feeling great but my mind was feeling so refreshed. At a time when I am stressing about not being plugged in enough, unplugging was actually what I needed to regain some excitement and lessen the stress of all of the awesome things going on right now.

When I walked into class this morning, the instructor said, “Now you left your head at the door this morning, right?” I thought about it for a second and decided that was a good idea.  I’m starting my day restored, energized and excited (what more could I ask for?). If you read yesterday’s post, it looks like restoration might be the theme of the week– which I am totally on board with. What do you guys do when you’re feeling burnt out on life and need a jump start?
